Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

How does PRP work?

This is a natural method of skin rejuvenation using ingredients from your own blood called ‘Platelet Rich Plasma’ (PRP). A small test tube of blood is taken from your arm and is then easily separated into red blood cells and clear serum containing the platelets. After adding vitamins and amino acids to the serum it is injected into the area. The resulting serum is rich in growth factors and natural proteins that can expedite healing and reverse damage in the body via DNA repair and new collagen formation, giving long-lasting rejuvenation.

What does the PRP treatment involve?

A small syringe-full of blood is taken from your arm. This is immediately processed and takes about 15 minutes. The harvested serum is then injected painlessly in the areas to be treated which can include the face, around the eyes, neck, décolletage, hands, elbows, knees, scalp and other areas.

What is PRP therapy useful for?

This treatment can smooth wrinkles, replace volume and heal scars due to acne or surgery. This treatment can also be used to promote hair regrowth in alopecia or baldness when injected into the scalp.

Can PRP treatment be combined with other treatments?

The PRP Dracula Therapy can be combined with the CO2 Fractionated laser treatment (Fracula Therapy) and Medical Skin Needling (Genuine Dermaroller treatment and Dermapen treatment). When used together the results are achieved faster with enhanced tissue healing and quicker recovery time. It can also be used in conjunction with Dermal Fillers to give extra volume and stimulate healing.

How many PRP treatments will I need?

The PRP ‘Dracula’ Therapy consists of a series of three treatments approximately 6 weeks apart. Periodic occasional maintenance treatments are suggested for optimal long lasting results.
