What is DermaSweep® MD Epi-Infusion™ Microdermabrasion?
The DermaSweep® MD Epi-Infusion™ is a treatment that combines variable-level vacuum and precision exfoliation with the delivery of topical skin specific solutions™, to effectively further address each patient’s unique skincare needs. The combination of vacuum, bristle and skin specific solution™ delivery is a technological leap forward in the improvement of overall skin health and appearance when compared to traditional microdermabrasion. This combination also allows for deeper treatments with less irritation.
Why Bristles matter?
With the DermaSweep® MD, the unique patented bristle tips are the key to the next generation of microdermabrasion. The tips allow for increased efficacy and true epidermal serum infusion with epi-infusion™ level of exfoliation. Developed with polyester or nylon, the bristle tips completely eliminate the mess and hazards associated with traditional crystal systems. Even more impressive, the bristles prevent the build up keratin on the wand that has been a problem with other particle-free systems. The tips allow for constant airflow throughout the bristle tip maximizing the full effect of the vacuum. The result is a clean, consistently effective treatment that patients enjoy. More importantly, patients see a noticeable skin improvement with fewer treatments as well as increased efficacy as compared to other systems.
How does DermaSweep® MD Epi-Infusion™ Microdermabrasion work?
The DermaSweep® MD system clearly sweeps away the epidermis and then vacuums away the dead skin. The airflow design allows the vacuum pressure to be used in a safe yet increasingly effective manner. The addition of the infusion of topical solutions not only allows for the deepest delivery of targeted skincare solutions, but also is part of the reason DermaSweep ® MD treatments are so well tolerated by patients.
The skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow, cleans the pores and removes skin debris. The increased blood flow to the skin’s surface encourages collagen formation thus resulting in a more taut appearance to your skin.

Will I notice a difference afterwards?
The results are instant and unlike skin peels, Microdermabrasion does not require preparation prior to treatment. One of the many advantages of medical Microdermabrasion is that it can be used on most skin types. No recovery time is needed, however, mild erythema and increased sensitivity is expected immediately after your DermaSweep® MD treatment but symptoms should resolve within a few hours.
How many DermaSweep® MD Epi-Infusion™ Microdermabrasion treatments will I need?
An initial treatment series is usually 6 sessions every 4-6 weeks (sometimes 2-3 weeks for your first 3 treatments), although even a single treatment produces beautiful visible results.
